Need Windshield Replacement

So I was driving on I-5 yesterday and a semi kicked up a huge rock and left a big crack. Do any of the local windshield repair shops use the oem windshield from mitsubishi? or do they all use some generic brand?

They will use a different brand. They usually have a few to pick from so ask about what would be best and not just the cheapest. I believe they vary in thickness. If you want an OEM piece, expect to pay a pretty penny for it.

yeah i was planning on going to all star as well. I usually go to them when i have a small rock chip. i'll probably just go back to them. just wondering if there are certain brands that are more reliable than others. reliability and safety is more important than price

I just got mine replace a few days ago i when with all star auto, yes it wasnt the EVO oem windshield it was the regular lancer but it looks identical and have no issues, the only thing i noticed is its not as clear as the OEM im guessing its either just me or because the OEM is thinner.oh and lifetime warranty.

Walmart really doesn't make anything. In fact, they sell most things cheaper than others for the same item. Yes, they squeeze the hell out of businesses to get those prices, but I don't care as a consumer. Cheaper is better!

They are starting to make little bags of chips and what not. And for the price, they really aren't that bad either. Stop hating on Wal Mart.

Paid $100 bucks installed for mine... I don't get medical benefits in the auto repair industry, but I do get perks! (a one-time deal since i had 3 customer cars lined up for new windshields that day)
