None of the dealers in New Jersey seem to want to do anything and just tell me that they have to be able to replicate my "complaint." Anyone in the NJ area had any luck with this?

The two posts following the link explain how to get the link to work...

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/10298346-post6.html

Click on the PDF download and then click "Outlander Sport"

The TSB is TSB−11−13−008REV and TSB−11−13−011

I told them I was having rough idle on cold mornings and sometimes the car wouldn't start on the first attempt.

They should not give you any trouble about the intake. Be sure to stress that the intake is brand new but the starting issues are not.

yeah that's what i was going to say, did you just asked them to flash it to the upgrade or did you beat around the bush till they suggested it?

Not even a little.

"Hi, I'm having issues where my car has trouble starting on cold mornings. I did some research online and found out there is a TSB for this issue and Mitsubishi's fix is just a quick software update for the ECU"

"Ok, bring it in, we'll take a look"

**sits in waiting room for about 45 minutes**

"Oil was changed, all available ECU updates applied, you shouldn't have any more problems"

and here we are lol

I have a 2011 Outlander Sport SE (bought used) and I took it to the dealer to have this done. The dealer said the TSB−11−13−011 had already been done. I convinced them to do the TSB−11−13−008REV as well.

Prior to the reflash I was getting a consistent 24-25 mpg average. After going through 2 tanks of gas, I'm getting exactly the same mileage, no change whatsoever.

I did try to get the dealer to do the 2012 full reflash on it but they wouldn't go for that.

Exclamation

Hi guys what is the TSB, or what is the part number to get the full 2012 ECU reflash? I have been reading this thread with interest, and would love to upgrade. If not, does anyone have insight into what the following TSB exactly does?

"TSB−11−13−008REV
ECM Reprogramming
for DTC P0016 or
P0017: Crankshaft/
Camshaft Position"

Is it MIVEC mapping and advance timing as someone suggested? Or something else?

Thanks!

Hi. New member and owner. Is there any way of finding out, without going to the dealer, if the reflash has been done? I just bought a 2011 RVR GT.

In terms of the vin, often times for certain services or parts, the dealership wil lwant your vin to look up order the part or service in question (Subaru and Mitsubishi are big on this for larger orders). If so, perhaps you can ask your local dealership to look you up by vin, but this might be limited by them only being able to see the history if they have serviced it before.

Short version, f you want to make sure you get it, pay $49 and have it done. Reflashing won't hurt it.

Does anyone know exactly what the reflash exactly does?
