too much boost - electric PS

Anyone else feel we have too much boost in our power steering (during parking lot speeds)?

Since we have (EPS) electric power steering... Has body figured out a way to adjust/dial-back (permanently) the amount of boost during slower speeds?

I prefer a slightly heavier feel from my steering wheel.

Huh... I've seriously never thought that. I like the electric power steering a lot, but does anyone else feel that it has a deadspot when on the highway? like the car kinda wanders a bit and tiny corrections do nothing but if you turn it just a littleeeee too far you're in the next damn lane?

Hmm.. no, no deadspot that I can tell (at least not so far). Granted everything is factory fresh. I'll have to wait and see after I put some more miles on the odo to say for sure.

How many miles?
Might it be an alignment issue.. does it track straight on a flat stretch of road?

It does track pretty straight, and it definitely took some miles before I noticed it. I'm at 39,000 and that's the only mechanical issue I've had. It's not terrible, but noticeable.

ok, hmm.. My first thought was it might've been a slight alignment problem, but if it tracks straight... idk now.

Personally I have absolutely no experience with electric power steering, but from your description could it be a sign of some failure..? Like the EPS is some how kicking in at highway speeds... possible???

it's just the tiniest little dead spot. It's more of just an annoyance than anything major.
