Outlander Sport : DSC (Dynamic Stability Control) in FWD/AWD modes?

Basically, I know in RWD vehicles a DSC system usually engages the brakes on the rear wheels (and/or cuts back on throttle) to help prevent a tail spin..

Does anyone know just how the Mitsubisihi's DSC system work in either FWD or AWD modes?

Side Note:
To disable DSC > Hold down the DSC button (on the lower left dash) for 5 seconds. To re-activate just hit the button again.
