Anyone loss their over flow cap?

Checked the engine last night so I could plan for the pulley install, and noticed that the over flow cap was missing.
I remember it being flimsy when we got the OS, but I never thought it would just disappear. "poof" it's gone. Not caught in the bottom of the engine bay either.

Yeah.. the problem is with the cap Not having some kind of retaining clip/hook.

I had thought about the same problem before here:

Well, I went to the dealer to pick up the new cap,,,,,, FAIL.
They gave me a new cap that had an attachment ring on it so it would stay on the neck when off. My wife noticed it was too small.
The sales person that sold me the OS went back to the parts dept. then went out to a new one on the lot and pulled it's cap off for me.
There's still NO attachment safety point if the tupper-ware like cap comes off. BUT,,,,,, I've got a fix to put a safety catch onto the cap that will hold it from the inside of the resevoir. I'll share my fix with ya'll when I get it done tomorrow. (gotta get some parts)

Meh,,, that's a bit too ghetto.
I'm planning on doing something that hooks from the inside. The cap gives some options that I think the factory "missed".

OK, here's my fix.

We might still call this "ghetto" tech. I pulled out the old MacGuyver thinking and found a pretty cheap way of making sure the cap can't get lost again.

All you need is a Zip tie, a paper clip, some super glue and a pair of pliers. A drill and "small" bit helps but you could just heat the paper clip with a lighter if needed.
I trimmed the zip-tie to under 3" then I put the cut off end through the latch of the tie.
I trimmed the ends to be wide enough to hold from the inside of the reservoir and then super glued the latch.
next, cut a small piece off so that it fits snug with the piece I made when it's wedged into the slot on the cap.
I added some super glue to this area also and then use a small drill bit to make a hole through the zip tie pieces.
I then took a large paper clip and snip'd off a piece that would be long enough to wrap around the "nub" of the cap, put it through the hole and just used some pliers to wrap and fold it tight around the nub.

The zip tie now can be pushed into the reservoir and "IF" the cap comes off, it'll stay attached to the inlet. The tie is flexible enough that you can pull it out if needed. Wa-La, ghetto tech to keep from losing your over flow cap.
