Haha yeah your 4wd does work! Taking it through that mud shows your courage or foolishness. Out Outlander Sport does better in the snow than any other crossover we tested. Mitsubishi 4wd, awc, and s-awc are outstanding performance.

Haha the outcome was condsidered heavily. The water in there was actually just barely over the lower white part of the bottom bumper (in the pictures it just looks deeper because I was 'snowplowing' it), and considering that our air filter is in the top rear portion of the engine, I figured I was OK. I was gentle on her, and the only casualty was two little clips that hold the rear bumper to the bumper support at the bottom of the back bumper... however those may have been already gone from the snow, who knows.

My AWD Outie Sport only got stuck once, and that Ranger you see in the pics was towed out like 3 times doing the same stuff... granted his 4WD doesnt work, he still had knobby mud tires and much more ground clearance...

Guess I haven't paid much attention to the new Outlander. When I first opened this thread I got excited and thought it was a new Colt/Mirage. That's a nice looking ride, also a fun time.

I can only imagine how it would have done with dedicated off-road tires! Amazing you didn't have more problems with the stock wheel & tire combo as the treads are not that aggressive.

Mitsu factory ones. Installed very easily, fit is perfect obviously, I'm quite satisfied with them.

Thanks, it's slow as hell but otherwise I'm very happy with it, would recommend one to anybody.

Most forums automatically resize pictures, not sure why this one doesn't...
