What should I pay for a 2013 AWD ES?

I'm committed on purchasing a 2013 AWD ES within the week and I need you guys opinion on this. There's a whole range of prices for the AWD ES model in my area, but they range from phony $16k just to get you to come to the showroom, all the way up to nearly $27k!

Here are all the AWD ES models within 30 miles of me
http://www.cars.com/for-sale/searchr...ion&sf2Dir=ASC

I also have a USAA Car Buying Certificate of $18k (it was $17k last month)
I'm going to try to get the $500 military discount after negotiations as well. New York also has a Documentation Fee Cap of $75 and 8.875% Sales Tax. My registration will be transferred from my current vehicle.

As the Outlander Sport has become more and more popular, the pricing has increased accordingly. As a comparison, I got my 2011 SE 4WD (no add-ons beyond the SE & 4WD package) for $21,500.

I believe a base mode ES AWC is going for $21,500; i think in negotiation something in that area with some addons would be ideal. $23,000 out the door is relistic.

If you want i can make a call to Paramus Mitsubishi; and go from there. hit me in a PM we will exchange numbers.

Went to my first dealer today, Route 46 Mitsubishi. I got them down to $20,587 out the door with my 2012 Mustang Convertible v6 Base Auto with 30,700 miles and I still owed $21,200 on it. They wouldn't let me use Mitsubishi's 60mo/0% APR with my USAA TruCar prising of $18,000 and offered me a 1.7% APR for 72 or 60 months I think.

I left, because I came in with completely different numbers in my head because of their internet sales rep. He said he can get me down to $16k along with the USAA pricing, because there's a Father's Day weekend sale which is $2,500 off. I knew it sounded too good to be true, but I went in anyways. The salesman had no idea wtf my telephone guy was talking about. They didn't have a Father's Day weekend sale, and they can't go lower than my USAA pricing. My salesman has never ever seen the internet sales rep, only knows his name, because lots of customers come in asking for him.

I left after that bull****. Now to find more dealers that can do better than $20,500 OTD with my trade in.

I used USAA pricing certs to buy my Tacome, Tucson, and my Veloster. Its hit or miss. Some dealers are pulling away from the program because they are losing out. On my Tacoma it did wonders. Got a 30000 truck for 21000. They Hyundai dealerwasnt a member of the program but honored them, but I didnt get the quoted price.

Went to Planet Mitsubishi today after some female on the phone told me they have the black one in stock. Got there and they didn't. The salesman frantically went searching all nearby dealers for a black one. Their best offer was $20,000 out the door including my trade in. Tomorrow I will finally check my local Mitsu dealer and see what they have to say even though they don't have a black one but is 100% confident they can get me one within a week. They will be my last visit before I decide who and what to get. I saw the Silver Outlander Sport and thought it looked pretty snazzy. The paint matched the wheels very well, but that's only going to last so long before I black out the entire vehicle. I have a friend who runs a plasti dip shop that can do it for me for materials only.

You guys want to see how a Satin Black plasti dipped Outlander Sport looks like?

Got the purchase price of the Outlander Sport down to $17,300, but after trade in, fees, etc... it came out to $23,000 out the door.

I owed $21,200 on a 2012 Base Mustang Convertible v6 with Leather, Auto Trans and 30,800 miles. So you can decide how much the trade in was worth.

Project Black Out begins tomorrow.

Alright Wes, Congrats!!

Welcome to the Club, Finally..!!!
Great color > Project Black Out - Just so you know... if you look very closely to the black paint, there are tiny flakes of semi-metallic blue in there.

Congratulations on the purchase! Sucks you had to let go of a convertible, but at least you got what you wanted in the long run. Have fun!

$23,000 OTD is with my trade in that has negative equity. It would have been closer to $19,000 OTD if it was just the Outlander Sport alone.
