Thanks to Outie11 for the P/N & Price update, per Post#2

I have checked my service manual and it requires DIA QUEEN CVTF-J1 (please see the corresponding page from the service manual and the document released by Mitsubishi Motors North America).
Thanks for the note, But... >

Reading through the Mitsubishi Tech Talk, it says that fluid is Green in color (for the CVTF-J1).. HOWEVER, my CVT fluid from factory (and as the first week of owning the vehicle) has always been Clear (like in crystal clear, as water.)

And, your M.T.T states to NOT mix the fluid with any other type, so I would double/triple check your own CVT fluid's color before you attempt to have either your dealership (or DIY it), to be sure what you're adding.

And that's an old document j1 is what can out first and the new fluid is j4. So it really doesn't matter to me which you use. J1 would pribbaly be hard to get since its obsolete now.

I have a 2012 O.S. AWD, with a CVT. Okay if I change all the fluids with synthetic fluids?

I just got a 2013 OS AWD a couple of weeks ago and wanted to change the air filter. The Denso MR968274 filter is no longer in production. Can anyone confirm WIX WA10058, FRAM CA10910, HASTINGS FILTERS AF1403, AUTO EXTRA 61949023 fit?

yes they fit I have the 13+ box and I use the fram. as long as it matched and looks correct you should be good. I don't know about those never heard of those I would stick with a reputable one like the fram or the wix

I just got quoted ~$280 to do the transmission service from the dealer. So to anyone that has done the service themselves, did you follow these instructions or did you just do a drain and fill flush?

I probably should have read the whole thread on that link... That process if for a standard trans and not the CVT. Looks like CVT is literally just a drain and fill.

Thanks for all the awesome info. Needing to do some TLC on the wifes OS. The only thing I am unsure of is the Drive belt/serpentine belt....I cannot find any intervals for that. I know on my Xterra I do it every 40-50k. She's at 65k now and not sure if its ever been done. Thanks guys

How often are you guys doing plugs on your OS? My wife and I are doing a big move to Washington from AZ soon and want to make sure everything is up to date. Replacing the battery soon. Going to do the serpentine belt. How often are you guys doing spark plugs? Thanks for all the great info!
