Angry F-ing Driver

I can not believe it. It happened again!
God damn those drivers, again another female driver!
Not only did we get side swiped by this careless driver today, she didn't even bother to stop and apologize. She just drives off.

I am Beyond pissed!!

********************************

We just got off the expressway, taking a single lane off-ramp. The driver of the SUV came from behind and decided to try and go around us and clipped us from on the driver side.

Highway speed limit 60MPH, off-ramp speed limit 50MPH.
We weren't going slower than that coming off the freeway, so I'm not sure what this lady was on, when she felt the need to get around us - to the intersection.

And you stopped why? No plate number and didnt follow her dialing 911 for the police for a hit and run? Live and learn I guess. GL.

If my vehicle still runs, then they're not getting away. If it doesn't, then my dash cam will get them.

WTF?! Wow! I assume you guys are alright?

I hope they find her.

I know it doesn't help now, but you might want to look into a dash cam setup going forward. It might have been able to grab her plate as she drove off.

Good luck with everything.

I hate DRIVERS like that more than you will ever know. However, I'm not at that level (yet...)

First, most importantly > my wife was in the vehicle with me.
I'm not about to "hot pursuit" that crazed driver with her with me...

Both came to a stop at the intersection (@Red light, right off the expressway.)

As the light turned green, we turned off the off ramp and you can tell this lady wasn't about to pull over (&stop), she just kept driving.

- My wife did call 911 immediately and I sound off the her plate for her to repeat to the operator.

The 911 operator told us to cut off "pursuit and pull over."

Thank you.
Yes, we are ok. No physical injuries, thank goodness.
Was Just very shook up at that moment.

**
- Regarding incident & insurance:
So, once the Officer arrived and took our report.
She informed me that from her plates this driver has expired registration and inspection... (and here's the kicker) she apparently has insurance - that Expired back in April..

That's just Freaking great. Yeah.. Now we know why she bolted.

Not much more the officer can do, just "give" her a citation for hit&run.

>>
As for the dash cam.
We have dash cam video. I have gotten the DVR a week ago and was testing it out this weekend.
I wanted to test everything out before I did a write-up on it since everything was in chinese..

I agree with your reasoning and the 911 operator. Once you have the plate number, your best bet is to just pull over. If the driver isn't trying to evade you, that's another story (super drunk or truck driver who may not realize they lightly bumped you) go ahead and safely follow. But no high-speed pursuits if you got the plate number.

Glad you guys are alright this time.

X's 3, Glad you are both alright, that's really all that matters. Stuff is just stuff.
Sucks that she's stereotypical dingbat driver with NO care for the requirements of driving. Ins., registration, etc.
I definantly feel you pain on drivers like that. The lady that hit me was no different and had cancelled he policy as soon as she received her card. I basically ended up sueing my own ins. co. for settlement.

Good luck and keep us posted. I hope they catch her and put the screws to'r.

America's system is very flawed when it comes to uninsured drivers, they can wreck and total your car causing tens of thousands of dollars in damage and all they get is a lousy fine for maybe $150? They need way harsher punishment for uninsured wrecks especially, including long jail time so maybe people will actually purchase liability at least. Sucks that happened to you hopefully your insurance company fixes the damages.

I learned to keep my blood pressure in check. At least I didn't wait a month bottling this anger in before I started venting.

It helps me greatly to have you guys here for me to "talk it out".

I'm doing my best to forgive this lady.

Freaking drivers who's always in some sort of rush... to the damn stop light... WTH?

No. It is not.

For sure! I just need more hands or clones of myself to get all these projects done.

This lady will get what's coming to her, very soon.

I couldn't agree more!

It's just parts, I have no doubt it will get fixed.
Thanks.
