any reliability issues?

That is very subjective.
But, considering how little noise insulation there is on this vehicle.. the "noise" is acceptable. On Highways the wheel noise is more "noticeable", of course. Mainly, you're hear more engine/CVT-transmission noise off a stop than anything else.

Costs us ~$47 per fill up on our 4WD.
(As reference - fuel tank cap. is 15.8gal on AWD and 16.1gal on FWD only)

Cost of a fill up is so completely irrelevant when buying a car. If the cost of a fill-up was $1,000 would you buy the car?

What if you only needed to fill it once per year, though?

So even though I answered your question in the other thread, it's not a logical consideration.

woah.. Burton.
I think the guy had a fair (simple) question. I don't think he meant anything else by it. Perhaps he didn't realize the size of our gas tanks and just needed to know what it took to top off.

And, I'm not sure about you... but I would upchuck a bit if I were to cut a check for $1,000 on gasoline.

So, Perhaps the guy/gal is coming from the likes of a H2 with their 32gal. gas tanks... So, yeah it would be very relevant and quite a persuasive point/factor when deciding on our O.Sports.

From the posts here and in the other thread, it looks like he is shopping for a car and considering the Outlander Sport. So, I answered his question quite thoroughly in the other thread, but felt a need to point out that the cost of a fill-up doesn't equate to anything beyond a one time cost. Your $47 a week might be better than $1,000, but I'd rather pay the $1k for a year of gasoline than $47 x 52 weeks ($2,444).

There was no intention to come off as rude or attacking.

As I said I gave a very honest and straightforward answer in the other thread. You should know I do my best to help answer any/every question I can on here, but as I said I just wanted to make it clear that fill-up cost is an arbitrary value in the grand scheme of long term cost of ownership.

Now now.. how do you know we pay per week? He was just asking how much per fill up.

And, true $2,444 is a lot more than $1K, but like I said not many people can or are willing to cut a check that large for gas, especially WHEN you can do it in installments... (as the need arises.)

IDK, how often do normal people fill up?

I drive a crap-load (I think I'm over 57,000 now), but apparently get WAY better mileage than most other owners and I fill up about every 6-7 days.

As for the installments, I HATE paying interest. With a passion. (which is why my O. Sport is already paid off). I completely understand that paying up front for things isn't always feasible, but in general I try to avoid interest at all costs.

None - In regards to Engine, Transmission/AWD, Suspension. < I'm Very satisfied with the 4WD system AND suspension capability. (You can check Wes's videoS thread to see all this CUV can do off road.)

Other items -
At least nothing that the warranty wasn't able to fix >
(Check my other threads, I have covered most issue(s) that "bothered" me.)
1. window seals warpage (they replaced 3 out of 4 doors, for Free.)
2. crusty residue on coolant hose to tank/reservoir. (they replaced tank, hose, clamp. + refilled coolant, for Free.)
3. steering wheel & wheel alignment : slightly off center (they re-aligned all 4 wheels and got my steering wheel back to dead center, for Free.)
4. passenger door panel tiny "lumps" on upper portion (they replaced the whole door panel, for Free.)

& my dealership took care of all my concerns so far.
That's a big in my book.

Oh yes, dealer took care of that too. 1st oil change (with full synthetic 0W20) including oil filter & crush washer, for Free. I dragged my knuckles and changed at 11+K, that's a no no. Follow instructs and change at 7,500.

Thanks for the reply:

I am contemplating trading in my 2011 honda fit sport, it has a manual transmission..
i want to get an auto for daily driving and i like the outlander sport
i had a montero sport before, the biggest problem with that is " oil leaks"
honda fit has huge space at the back despite it being a hatchback...mpg is very good...it already has 50,000 miles...engine is like brand-new...no problem
no oil leaks...nothing

i just want to get an outlander sport for a change

Whether feasible or not it's not the right thing to do when there's 0% finance available

*gloats*

Then sees the price of fuel in TX....damn
