Thank you so much.. you're such a big help..now i need to figure out where to buy the subwoofer, in your opinion would it be more cheaper if a just buy a aftermarker subwoof and make my own box? or just go with the fosgate subwoofer?

If you didn't get the package with the R.F. sound system originally, then it IS better to go aftermarket components and build your own system.

i got my os stock and i have been upgrading the sound i had a 2000w amp and i am using it to upgrade the two front with speaker with alpine conpenents.
the ones i have are basicly a disposible plate and a tiny magnet glued to them very disapointed in the quality.
link to my sub install the links are just pictures.

I had my buddy who is a professional installer replace my 14 SE's setup with Alpine type R's all the way around, and a Kicker Hideaway sub under the passenger seat (fits perfectly, does not take away leg room for rear passenger).
Night and day difference. Sounds better than the "premium" sound package I test drove at the dealership. Also doesn't steal room in the back like the RF sub. The whole package cost me about $450 brand new on ebay, and works with my 14 SE's stock head unit beautifully.
I can take a few pictures of the setup if someone wants me to.

When i worked at mitsu, the RF speakers were so dirt cheap for me to buy. the speaker itself looks like a solid upgrade from the base system, in case anyone can get their hands on a wrecked OS with the RF system and get them for free.
I do have a infinity 6.5" componet setup sitting in the box.... maybe I should hook up my amp and make it sounds good.
Just checked the pics, Does the speaker just Clip into the hole in the door? no screws? this may make it hard to install aftermarket if your not looking to drill into the sheetmetal.

your going to have to order adopters if you dont want to cut into the door or bump the glass when it goes down i did not take pictures but its a triangle hole with three clips that hold the speaker in..

Photos, yes definitely - if you don't mind.

I'm not sure if you checked... but that may be too much for the alternator. Better be certain.
Our re-gen alternator aren't cheap, they run $1,500. Just a heads up.

Thank you.
I don't suppose you have a photo of that hole/area..?
The stock RF speakers look pretty impressive for OEM. Silk tweeters and carbon fiber mids. I love the RF system except I find the sub to be inconsitent. Some times its too over powering, other times its too quiet.
These are the sound settings im using, maybe someone else can chime in with theirs.
I have punch control set one notch down from max.
I have bass 1 notch up from min.
I have mid and treble set to middle or flat.
I have DTS Neural processing on and sound field set to "stage".
My last vehicle, Nissan frontier, also had an RF system, but it was just OK, maybe a notch above a basic OEM system. It had some weird design quirks. The sub channel was shared with the driver door speaker, and wired out of phase with the sub, while the passenger door speaker was full range.
Im a big time audio guy, but my days of aftermarket systems are long gone now that im a family man.

the RF sub looks like a decent unit.
is it a sealed enclosure or open on the back (free air)? if its free air, one thing to try is maybe pulling it out and putting some Dynamat behind it. guys on the Forester forum used to do that for the "sub" in the hatch area to improve the sound. its my wife's car, so i dont care that much. LOL

Just dragged my knuckles and got lazy then totally forgot to check it out and take photos.
I'll have to find some time and try to finish this thread with the OEM RF sub photos.
