4 more horsepower : Will it fit?
All of you know our base 4B11 (non-turbo'd) motor is a real donkey when it comes to power.
So, I got my hand on an aftermarket performance part... Has anyone attempted a piston swop?
Will this fit?

LOL, you are nutty.
There actually would be power with higher compression ratio pistons, +1mm valves, cams, portwork, plus a tune on 93 octane but the question is would it really be worth it? Maybe if you had access to cheap labor and were rebuilding anyways, otherwise probably not.

lol When I first saw the top pic, I was like,,,,,,,, what the heck are you thinking???? Have looked at the size of that piston compared to you hand??? What makes you think that'll fit????
EVO cams, Eclips TB, header, full exhaust, pulley, intake and timing controller are all I think this thing's gonna take unless you can get a stand alone controller and BOOST it like an EVO.
I wonder if we could use the supercharger from a Chevy Cobalt SS???? It would need a mount FAB'd up, and some way to control the ECU, but surely there's someone with Tuning help for our platform.. I hope.....

You know what they say - "never know if it'll work, until you try..."
Figure it would've been fun to compare piston sizes at the very least.
Well, I have hands like a
so it's kind of difficult to judge exact size.I've never rebuilt a motor before in my life, so I have no clue how big a piston should be..
Ha Ha, that's like that BK commercial with guy that's got the little hands and can't hold a normal Whopper. So they made the whopper jr.
I've rebuild a LOT of motors (and axles) in my time, it's therapeutic in my opinion.
Now I build RC Rock Crawlers when I have time. Kinda nice tinkering with toy cars while watching Top Gear on the big screen.

ha.. I have not seen that BK commercial, need to find it on YT!
Well, like they say.. Real men love working with their hands - Wrench in one hand and a torch in the other.
Cool!

Now that's three (me included)
Time to dust off my RC10...
