You guys seriously need to work on your reading comprehension.
Obviously your initial question wasn't clear and lacks a lot of information as everyone in the thread thinks you don't know the difference between vent and recirculate. Maybe you should work on your question and not get all pissy.

Lets get back on topic.

The OP could use some clarification, Wes clarified in a later post.

I already clarified it in my 2nd post, and even more in my 3rd that a blind dog would understand. Before even making this thread, I had a feeling that most people lack the 1st grade reading comprehension to understand the question, but it still got to my impatience after the 3rd herpa derp reply.

Back on topic, I have also noticed this in other vehicles, and I'm not sure how or if it affects gas mileage at all. From my little knowledge of HVAC systems, I understand that the reason mpg drops with AC/HEAT ON is that it makes the engine work harder, BUT the real question is if it makes the engine work harder because of the FAN/BLOWER spinning or because of whatever makes the air HOT or COLD?

How very mature of you to just have to get the last word in.

I may or may not know the answer so given the possibility I could be wrong and be labeled a blind dog I'll move on to another forum post.

I'm not trying to get the last word in, this is an ongoing discussion in which nobody has a definite answer to my question yet. You can also see that the first two replies understood my question right away including yourself.

Sounds like you should not have asked the forum members any questions in the first place due to your lack of confidence in all of us....
