No AWDs in Dallas!

I've been totally unable to find an AWD OS in the Dallas area, not to mention one with the specs I'm looking for. Anyone know the closest market to me that would much more likely have AWD cars?

Which dealer(s) have you approached?

I've tried Don Herring Mitsubishi and Absolute Mitsubishi, along with a number of other dealership's used car departments. They all want me to come in before talking cars or numbers, but after pushing the salesmen on the phone and visiting one place, they all admitted to not having any AWD cars.

Interesting and not surprised. AWD is amazing in the winter but it doesn't snow too heavy too often, right? The AWD OS's sold immediately. Right before I bought mine, there were 2 AWD models locally that were sold withing a day because I called each dealership the moment they were up on the internet (autotrader, cars.com)

good luck!

There's 3 Don Herrings.. I suggest you give Don Herring Plano a call. But, ask specifically for Jason Johnson, he is the only guy I deal with. He's the main Online Director for the dealership, so don't waste your time trying to chat with a "salesperson". I bought both our O.Sports AWDs from him.

Tell him that you spoke with "David & Stephanie" and we recommended the AWD.
He'll get you one.

NOTE:
Absolute Mitsubishi (in Mesquite) I'd avoid.
My wife and I gave them plenty of opportunities to earn our business and they wasted our time and "play games" so they lost TWO vehicle sales.

Hmm... odd.
Why is that?

Back when we were shopping - in late 2011 & start of 2012, there was only like just 7 AWDs out of a total of 615 O.sports here in Dallas + surrounding metro area...

So, it was you Houstonians been hogging all the AWDs for yourselves. Cut it out, will ya.

Huh..?
Oh, you mean when the tides from Galveston rises and floods Houston streets with 5-6" of BP Gulf water... Well, perhaps that's a good excuse to stock up a train load of AWDs.

I still feel that's a bit greedy.
Just saying.

I think the dealership I got mine only bought like 10 of the AWD rockfordfaustgate editions, I did not see any standard trans, or 2wd either on the lot at the time.

just for fun, I checked Autotrader and there are 219 brand new AWD OS's within 25 miles of here.

we're also ready to get the edge of that winter storm tonight, so i hope some people buy them! tired of fish-tailing Camaros messing up the flow for those of us with brains.

Now that's a healthy inventory of AWDs!

Buddy, If you have to be out in that insane crappy weather I hope you stay safe- Make sure your emergency kit is stocked and packed in the vehicle.

And, for those who's crazy enough to drive in that kind of storm with a camaro... they're mental.
