Bling or Blech?

I see the 2015 upper end RVR/OS come with a chrome exhaust finisher. I'm thinking of adding one to my 2011. Found this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Chrome-EXHAUST-MUFFLER-TAILPIPE-TIP-For-Mitsubishi-ASX-Outlander-Sport-RVR-/271602594202?hash=item3f3cc6b19a About $20 shipped.

Bling?? OR Blech?

Well for $20 US or so, I think I will try one. For fun, I might see what the stealership is asking for that part. I'm guessing probably 50-60 at least! LOL

I think it makes my sport look more sporty and expensive than a plain ugly tail pipe.

So I went out to Canadian Tire (sort of Pep Boys and Walmart combined up here) and got one of these: http://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/st...l#.VUfpZflViko Great deal for $17. BUT the GD thing doesn't fit over my exhaust! Argh!! The OD of the existing exhaust is 2.375" which about the same as the tip. Dang... But it sure does look great.

I wonder if all the 2011 exhaust tips are oversize? I thought 2" was standard but clearly mine is larger. Anyone care to measure their exhaust pipe to compare?

I added one to my OS a while back. I posted about it on the "what did you do to your OS" thread. Post 516-526.

Looks good - but I don't want to pay a fortune for a tip. And looking at my muffler I might have to get a new one soon so I might postpone the chrome tip till then.

I bought one in Canadian Tire for $16 when my car was new (2.5 years or so ago). It is slightly larger than the stock on the GT (SE in the States).

I'll have to look again. I got mine at CT and it won't fit.

Where are you located? I have an extra I was holding as a spare but can let you try if it fits if you're close by.
