Blank buttons?

curious as to what some of the blank buttons are for - ours is a pretty loaded 2.4GT AWC, minus leather and Nav. i would assume one to the lower left of the steering wheel is for rear fog light, but what are the other two?

Ooohh... oohh.... I know this one! At least I think I do - the lower right of the steering wheel panel buttons are populated in some of the foreign markets for extra lights etc. The real question is which mfg. makes those switches and where to get them at a reasonable cost.

Seems like sonar is wht the dash switchs are used for: http://www.fastmotoring.com/wp-conte...a/img_5552.jpg and http://performancedrive.com.au/wp-co...on-control.jpg

That extra one would be a great place for a Whipple Supercharger or nitrous boost. As for the extra one on the wheel... I dunno. Can't think of a reason for it. BTW, I was in France recently driving a Peugot and there was a switch in it to turn on the side markers when you park on the narrow streets. Maybe the Euro models get that?

I believe the two empty switches next to the fuse box are for the front parking sensors and the automatic stop and go (AS&G) system.

The one on the steering wheel is for the adaptive cruise control (the wheel is used on many models not just on the OS).

In some markets there are auto-leveling headlights - a switch is used for them.
