piano black stereo trim

We have the piano black surround in our 2015 - while I think it looks pretty sweet, its my wife's car and she doesnt like it. too shiny and distracting according to her.

Anyone around Pittsburgh want to trade their "faux carbon" stereo surround trim plate for piano black? Not sure what other years are the same piece as 2015...

My wives Buick Enclave has chrome trim on the dash and around the antique radio bezel they put in and it is the worst design ever, no matter where you are sitting in the driver seat the sun catches it and blinds you, I hate it!

I am not sure what rocket scientist tought that using shiny finishes in a car was a good idea. Short of Plasti-dip have you considered aftermarket kits like http://www.dashkitspecialties.com/MIOS11C.html ?

i haven't had an issue with the black piano trim.

I would plasti dip it. that way you can keep the silver accents around the a/c and hazard button.

I dont have an issue with it, either - she does.

Ill ignore it for as long as I can, then think about plastidip when the siren gets too loud and frequent.

An unhappy wife guarantees an unhappy life. Too bad it doesn't work the other way around all the time...

I put in a dash mat that covered the top of the piano black surround . It did help with the glare . I just need to install the rest of the Velcro strips so it fits a little flatter .

no offense intended, but i think that looks hideous. i say that coming from a Porsche 928 with dash cracks and having one of those on it, but if the dash was pristine, there is no way i would have chosen to use it.

No problem Landshark . The dash mat just came out of the box needs some time to flatten out At least I hope it will .

Its just my opinion - I dont like dash clutter. I would guess it looks better in person than in photos, though.
