Maybe I misread the manual (pg. 3-143 etc.) but it seems to me that the "service reminder" is supposed to count down? Mine is stuck at 4 months/7000 kms. Will it just stay there until it goes to "---" and display "Service Required"? Or is something wrong? I'd like to get this fixed on warranty of course, while I still have it.

I have a new 15 and mine has been counting down every time I drive. Sounds like it needs fixed under warranty if ya ask me. If anything it should just be blank because it didnt reset. shouldnt be stuck on a number. your odometer does track miles correct. it isnt stuck as well

It only changes by every 1000 miles or (1000 km) driven or by once every month. At least this is how mine is working. The clock is running somewhat ahead in mine as my service reminder always comes on about two weeks earlier than it should (may be a deliberate act from Mitsubishi's part to give time for a customer to schedule the oil change before the time is really up).

All the odometers, trip comps etc. work fine so I guess it is like AWCAWD says, it only counts down in thousands. Kinda silly, but OK. Thanks for the info!!!

UPDATE: The countdown to service reminder on my 2011 RVR is by 100 kms. Only 6900 to go!

It should mean that this parameter is also programmable:
robthezombie's is counting down continuously, yours by hundreds, and mine by thousands. Interesting.
I'll try to look into this.

I wonder if it set by the model year? Mine is a 2011; IIRC Rob's is a 2015
