Hello
Hello
I've been lurking for a few weeks, and I decided to join. I have a silver 2014 OS. Currently full of hail dents, thanks to the crazy weather here. I'm from Amarillo, TX. I've had a few other Mitsubishis, and loved them. My Endeavor totaled someone's Tahoe when she hit me, but it wasn't fit to drive after that. I was okay though
I had 2012 Eclipse Spyder for a while, and it was lots of fun, but I needed a practical car with a back seat.
It's an ES model, pretty basic. I don't have any pics right this moment. So far I've done...
Stereo stuff - I liked the bluetooth and stock look of the basic head unit, so I kept it and wired in an Alpine power pack and an MTX 200W Mono amp. The door speakers are Alpine, and there is a box with an MTX 10" in the back. Coming soon - adding tweeters, and looking to see if I can get the stock subwoofer enclosure from somewhere, and stuffing that MTX in there to get my space back. I might be able to build a custom box to sit in that space too, I dunno yet. Living in an apartment is a pain, they have a cow when I change my own oil, much less build stuff. I even clean up after myself.
I wanted to try out a short ram intake before committing to $200-250 to buy one, so I made one from a bunch of Spectre universal parts and some of the stock intake parts. Works good, I'm probably going to buy the one from Road Race Motorsports. I sent them a picture, and they said that their intake will probably fit, even though their page says it won't.
I want to get a strut tower bar and an exhaust. I was looking at that HKS thing that got posted, but I don't feel like spending $500 on it. I'll have a local shop make me something and stick a Magnaflow under there somewhere.
I saw RRM has an ECU tuning device, but I don't know that I want to mess with that. I think I'll stop with the exhaust.
The DIY intake works fine and I keep an eye on it to be sure, but I don't want the dealer seeing that when I take it in for service. They won't care about a real one, but a slapped together DIY special might be an issue.
Anyway...
Sometime after I get a bunch of money saved and paid off some bills, I want a second vehicle...I'll probably get some old Chevy from the 80s, but it'd be cool to have one of the Raiders with the 4.7 V8.

Welcome to the club!
That's a bummer. Sorry to hear about the hail damage.
Your insurance should take care of all that.
Post some pics of your DIY intake & audio install when you get a chance.
