Yep, you read it right. I paid $1195.00 US, for Oil filters for my 2016 Outlander.
They are super special and really cool. They come in a very nice Mitsubishi branded box and they even have a new drain plug washer taped to the top.
I think they scrub the contaminents out of the oil and last for like,,,,,, 50yrs.
I'm guessing at that price, they also give about 40 to 50 extra HP. I got them from the service dept. at my local dealership when I went in for my trans update.
Funny tho,,,, when my wife saw the charge this morning (checking bank statements) she flips...... stomps into the bedroom and holla's WTF did you spend $1195 on at the dealership the other day???? , , , , , at this point I'm instantly wide awake and thinking she's due for an eye exam. Then she pulls me down stairs and shows me,,,,,, yep. They charged me $1195.00 for "2" Oil filters. I get my receipt out (keep good records on everything) and it shows $11.95 on the front page....... the signature page on the BACK, (that I didn't bother looking at) shows $1195.00 !!!!!!!!
Are you freakin' kidding me???
So that verifys it wasn't my bank that screw'd the pouch, the service manager punched in the wrong amount when he ran my card. They only have an electronic signature pen thingy, so it's not like I see the amount on the screen.
Needless to say, There was a very quick firm phone call to the service dept. They said the service dept was busy so I asked for the manager, once I told him my dilemma he was quick to just put the service manager on. He looked it up and I could here the keys punching as they were crediting back the full amount. Lesson learned, even if you've got a great dealer or service dept. make sure you check the final amount.....
So, I guess I just got regular Mitsu oil filters after all.
Now to watch N see if my credit shows on the account by tomorrow.

When I saw the title, I immediately thought of the Inspection II scheduled maintenance for a BMW X6M
So, did you thank your wife for yanking you out of bed so quickly on this serious matter?
