usb port on ES model Stereo unit
I have the base ES model, so no useable USB port available. I have a usb/mp3 input in the selection screen of the stereo but no where to plug it in. Nothing in the armrest box.
There is a stock SE unit for sale near me, with a usb port on the back of the unit (red circled area in the photo) I'm wondering if all units, even mine have this port? Just the ES didn't come with a plug in plumbed into the vehicle. So, if I take my unit out, plug in a cord and drill a small hole somewhere, I'd have a useable usb cord. Can anyone verify my train of thought? Thanks.

There weren't any replies so either my issue was not explored yet or should have been obvious to me
For future reference of any ES owners: I did take the console surround off and stereo in an attempt to fit a USB cable on the back. There is a male USB port however it is surrounded by a plastic lining that even when you spend an hour scraping it all off because you just know that it looks exactly like a regular usb port; and get a female usb cord connected, it will not work. After reading further afterwards online there is a "special" (for F sakes) usb cord that plugs in there. It would be around $170-$200 CAD for just the cable, so to me, this isn't an option.
For $192 all in I ordered this: (with mounting hardware and wiring harness)
apparently display color can be changed to red.

Yes, I still have the factory speakers. Didn't really notice a sound quality or volume difference over the stock deck. Although from the ear damage I gave myself years ago with upgraded stereo systems and going to many concerts, I don't really have the volume up very high anymore.
