weird no-start issue ... ???

so i was about to take off in my wife's OS, and it wouldn't start. got an "electrical system problem" and "immobilizer problem" (don't remember the exact wording) warnings in the display.

took my car, came back 15 minutes later, and got my wrenches to disco the battery to see if a "reset" would help. before i did that, i tried it again, and it started right up! WTF? maybe the shifter wasn't fully seated in "PARK"?

has this ever happened to anyone else?

Did you have more then one transponder key in the car at the same time ? Some times the immobilizer systems can get confused . My 15 OS will not unlock the door if my fast key is behind my phone in my pocket .

I had experienced similar problems with my FAST key being in the same pocket as my phone..

@OP,
It may just be an fluke. These electrical things hiccups sometimes.

its a little disturbing, because my Evo did the "FAST key got erased by cellphone" thing and it left me stranded an hour from home. supposedly was only an issue with 2008's, and i was given the new revised FAST keys by the dealer. but still ....

Your battery might be on its last leg? My OS started throwing some crazy electrical errors about a week before the battery just died beyond jump starting. Would throw some errors & wouldn't start, then would randomly start no issue. Might be worth having your battery tested. (my factory battery lasted just 2 years)

thanks, i'll throw it on the trickle-charger for now, and get it checked out.
