Please help!! (Brake system service required)
Yesterday a warning light (red) saying “brake system service required” came on the display on an outlander sport 2012. Immediately after the steering wheel locked when the car was on and parked. When I tried to move the steering wheel to any direction it kicked automatically to the center and the warning sign turned off. Everytime I move the steering wheel it kept kicking back to the center and the warning will go off. I shut the car off and everything was back to normal. Today I got the same warning sign when I was backing up but the steering wheel didn’t lock; it was a quick warning. I took it to a mechanic to check Any fault codes but nothing came up.

Have your battery checked.
If it's the original.. then it's past due for a replacement.
Our ECU starts to display funky warnings when the battery starts to go out (ie: low voltage)
Here's an example of what happens:

You know what that could be it. The battery was pretty much drained because today in the morning it took some effort to start. Will replace it and see what the deal is. Never thought it would be the bettery because last battery I had I used it till it had no more juice in it. Anyways, I’ll replace it today and see what the outcome is. Thanks!!
