Driving in snow

18 outlander sport le 4wd is what I’m using, I run Nokian Nordman 7 snows and this is my second winter with this sporty and tires, recently we had a 15” dump of snow and my road had not been plowed to the main road yet, so, I put it in 4wd lock and let it rip, was trying to stay in the tracks from previous drivers going thru, but there weren’t many tracks to begin with and the sporty was drifting and dragging snow beneath but it made it to the main road, I was pretty impressed, I’d never have made it with the stock all seasons for sure. I’ll say this little Ute is great

I've had the stability control save my butt once or twice on all seasons but on snow tires it does very well. I like that chocolate brown color from the outlander.

Unfortunately my OS is only FWD. When I bought it (living in Phoenix at the time) I never thought I would be using or having a need for 4wd. So now that I live in the PNW that's a whole different story but this little tank plows through it fine! Of course I am limited to things but have yet to be caught in snow. Good tires and driving technique help of course but I couldn't be happier. I'd love a 4WD one...maybe someday!

You should think about trading it in. There are some incredible used OS AWD GT prices out there. I found a fully loaded AWD CPO GT with 10k miles for only $14k near me

2019 RVR SE AWC in northern ON, Canada, 4x4 is basically a requirement here. Ive been happy with my first Mitsubishi so far, bought it for the wife but found myself taking it for hunting trips through some rough corduroy log roads and i honestly enjoy the little bugger. I’m of the strong belief that vehicles should have TCS disabled under normal operation and its up to the driver to turn it ON as needed, not the other way around. That being said, the 2” lift is great and the wider A/T tires have made the biggest difference in deep snow and mud by a longshot. Stock was pretty underperforming. Ive gotten used to turning the TCS off in extreme conditions because its wayy too intrusive imo and it makes a massive difference under low grip, just give errr and use your momentum lol. But I also run 9mm studs in the winter months more so because stopping grip is key. The AWC system is truly the best part about these, but the CVT is definitely a massive downside… feels like im just waiting for an issue.
Still, its nice to see some fellow cold weather owners enjoying their OS.

Cheers.
