I have a hard time believing that turning off the vdc could void your warranty. That would not hold up in ANY court of law.

It is like of like saying that if you hit your ac button and your car brakes it voids your warranty. Using your cars features can not legally void a warranty.

Read and believe what you will.

Like I said before, I don't like the way the auto industry and the government in general are going with this "data acquisition" trend that is starting. This is only the beginning. Next they will be recording your phone calls...Oh wait, they already do that. The information age is a blessing and a curse.

Sorry for being so dramatic.

I don't think its an outright void. But you can read info on the VDC here:

http://www.nissanusa.com/pdf/techpub...09_GTR_WIB.pdf

"WHAT IS NOT COVERED
DAMAGE, FAILURES OR CORROSION DUE TO
ACCIDENTS, MISUSE OR ALTERATIONS
This warranty does not cover damage, failures or corrosion
resulting from:
■ Accident, theft, fi re, driving through water (including
engine water ingestion) or misuse, which includes, but
is not limited to, operation in violation of any applicable
law and racing of any sort whatsoever (Proper use is
outlined in your OWNER’S MANUAL).
■ Alteration, tampering or improper repair, including but
not limited to adding/replacing chips, reprogramming,
or attempting to reprogram, alter, or disconnect any
computer or control unit.
Operating the vehicle with the Vehicle Dynamic Control
(VDC) off, except when rocking vehicle when stuck in mud or snow
"

If you turn it off in any other condition and something goes wrong the warranty won't cover it looks like. Evidently Evom won't let me post this link so....
