anyone know when the next evo day is going to be at the Drift Office? I know they just had one, but I'm wanting to get my intake, fuel pump, and injectors done before the next one.

Has anyone gone to Younker Mitsubishi on E Valley Hwy? I don't know if it is new (I assume it is) and was wondering if that is a good place to head for parts and the occasional service (when I feel lazy). I used to hit Walker's at times, but that obviously doesn't happen anymore.

If anyone has gone there it would be good to know how they treat people with upgrades. Thanks for any info!

They opened a few months ago at what used to be Younker Nissan. They moved the Nissan operation to a nice new facility, maybe 1/4 mile north, and set up the Mitsu operation in the old facility just south of the Keg on E. Valley hiway.

I stopped by once to look around, salesman was nice enough but I really didn't think the "dual" exhausts on the X, that he repeatedly pointed out, were all that neat...

Ok, so I just got back from Younker Mitsubishi the sales man was nice but wouldn't let me even test drive an evo.. bla bla miles and bla bla etc etc..

FYI Jake they have a GG IX SE 13K miles it is pretty much stock looks like a works cone intake and $8000 stereo.. think it was 28K so not too special since I got mine for 25k 7 mo ago.

As for the service department, I didn't get a chance to talk to the service manager he was at lunch. I talked to the guy working in service and if you want any warranty work done then it better be a stock evo otherwise the warranty is void. Even adding an aftermarket exhaust voids all engine warranty. So not so thrilled with that place. Best place I've been so far that is acceptable of aftermarket is Auburn. they told me unless they can prove the aftermarket part caused the failure then they have to cover it.

So there is your Younker update

I appreciate the update, Bora! Sounds like Auburn is where it is at, then.

*edit - I saw the 06 SE on their site, too. $29k with low miles is a good starting point for negotiations from a dealer. You should be able to get them down fairly well if they are motivated to sell. I think their site has some mis-info too which you could use in your favor (only has a SOHC apparently, I think they listed it as a 1.8L, etc.).

Auburn is terrible. I advise staying away from them. Salesman is a total (billys word) asshat.

If the evo wasnt GG I would be interested into talking to see if they would go down on the price.

I agree both salesman I've talked to were idiots.. Even one of the techs was high on something when I went in, but as for actually working on modded cars only place that didn't say too bad.

Just FYI, I couldn't even test drive the car I bought until I signed paperwork, it's not uncommon on the Evo's.

They have to prove that the modification cause the problem in order to void the warranty. Most of the time once you mention getting your lawyer involved and that you understand your rights there tone changes.
