well, kinda happy... On the way home tonight I raced a VW gti witha 35r putting down a little over 450 to the wheels. We raced on the freeway and I pulled on him a few times over. on the down side they said my exhaust was glowing inside and said it was throwing sparks. I have no clue what that was about. Good race though!

 

EGTs are too high maybe?

When was your last tune?

 

never been professionally tuned... Egt's too high meaning maybe too much fuel???

 

it's a timing thing most the time. Getting any knock when you log?

 

ya if I pull at anything lower than 3800... usually only 1 to 2 counts

 

what are your AFR's up top then?

 

I could send my tune if you wanna check it out... it's not a professional tune so no biggie...

 

I'm no pro either but I wouldn't mind looking at someone else's work! Pm me for my e-mail address and send me any logs you have and if you logged your afrs that would be sweet. If you don't you could just tell me what your wideband is saying.

I'm not gonna say I'd do anything sure unless you have AFRs logged.

I have a hard time believing it was 450whp...especially if you are on the stock VIII turbo and pump. He is lighter and would have 120+whp on you....did the guy forget how to drive

 

maybe he had a 6 speed and didn't feel like downshifting

 

I don't have a stock pump... I am on stock turbo and he says he was getting wheel spin. Plus I am running 22 lbs... not saying it fast but not off the showroom either.
