Federal agent pulled a gun on me

Running is never a good idea. Why didn't you put your hands up when you were in the car at the gas station to show you were unarmed?
Arguing with law enforcement, also not a good idea.
Clearly you were doing something that was sending the wrong signal to the Federal officers or they wouldn't have flipped out on you.
Get a lawyer if you want to play armchair attorney.
I would be willing to bet you're running illegal parts on your car. You going to get into it with local law enforcement? Ever thought about them impounding your ride just to **** with you for having off road use only parts?
I'm not taking sides here, but your story makes you sound like a hot head. Cops don't like people that are hot headed.
Glad no one was hurt!

Let me just say this... This really hits home for me. I just last week had to call my local police dept. because I was informed from my neighbor to be aware because her nephew (who lives on my same back road) told her "He's keeping an eye on me. He is waiting for a reason to pull me over. He can't wait to get me". I'm prior military, I am a Surgical First Assistant, I am a single parent of two teenage daughters and I have some no nutted punk wanting to watch me. I have never been in any trouble with the law other than a speeding ticket when i was 17. Im 34 years old now... Oh by the way, don't blame my Evo. I have never driven here with it so he has not even seen it...
I call the station (cause I'm totally freaked). His supervisor informs me this guy hasn't even finished all of his training to become legit. He said he obviously had no reason to say that considering he isn't even an officer yet. Starting a great career, eh?
Look guys, u can say what u want to Graphic either way... But u put yourself in his drivers seat with a gun in YOUR face...

Where do you get the idea to say these things. Your avatar is a guy pointing a gun at you in civilian clothing just like in our situation. Are you going to just stand there with your hands up while some crazy lunatic is waving a gun at you? You were not there. We are good people and for you to judge us is by saying we were doing something wrong is " clearly " ignorant of you because you were not in our shoes. The irony of your avatar kills me inside. I have been a part of this site a lot longer than you have and have seen countless threads of police getting one over on people like us. I'm sick of it. You are a moderator of a site where people modify there cars with all sorts of aftermarket parts that are illegal and you want to point that out in a situation like this???? Lets just put it this way. I don't like the cut of your jib sir.
What does my avatar and my taste in music have to do with this thread?
What does me being a moderator have anything to do with my opinion in this particular case? My opinions on how the OP acted are my own. Just like my favorite color, taste in cuisine or cars.
You're talking about kettle logic here, which is irrelevant to the validity of my original assumptions.
I only mentioned the illegal parts above to show that if law enforcement wanted to be difficult because someone with a modified car was being difficult, it would not have been hard for them do to so. There's a saying that comes to mind here: "Check yourself before you wreck yourself." It's like being pulled over for a burned out tail light and receiving a whole slough of citations for mouthing off. That was my only point in that regard.
You're completely allowed to not like me or my opinions, that's totally within your right to do so. It's completely within my power and within my right to agree or disagree with how someone carries themselves, be it right or wrong. I think the OP overreacted and then gave the local authorities a hard time when they tried to 'keep the peace' over the situation. I'm glad the OP is planning on pressing charges. If there was wrongdoing, then there should be a judgement and then punishment handed out.
If I was at the bar with you, I'd still offer to buy you a beer (assuming you partake, of course).

I got the idea assuming that the 'crazy lunatic' or 'road rager' mentioned in this thread was possibly someone acting within their legal bounds and having the authority to act the way they did. Did I not agree with the action of fleeing the scene, above in this thread? You make a true statement, I was not there. I can only go off of the information that was originally given by the OP.

For what it's worth, our moderators are only required to follow and uphold the rules of the site. They are allowed to have and express opinions so long as they don't break rules in the process of expressing opinions. So, in that sense, his post was fine; your response to it was pretty iffy.
Having read what you originally posted, I agree with some of what he wrote. But like him, I wasn't there, so the full story is known to only the two of you and the LEO who randomly pulled his gun on you. There's probably more to it than what you posted, but based on the info, it seems there is something fishy. Good luck with the legal system.
