The Ridge [VIDEO]
Went out for my first time last sunday and it was amazing! It was a fantastic course with a good combination of technical turns, elevation change and high speed sections. I took the class which was a great opportunity to work with an instructor to learn the course, the lines to take and how to drive it. I highly recommend both this track and the class. Probably the most fun I've ever had in my car. "Thrilla" (forgot your name again
) was out with his WW Evo as was Myles and Lucas from English.
The last session, my instructor put in his GPS lap tracker and we gathered some data. I was later able to break down section and lap times using AIM SOLO software to see where I lost ground and where I can improve. I ended up with a 2.06.847 for the best time. I was on route to a low 2.04 until my inter cooler coupling blew off going into the final straight. The software also showed my theoretical best lap (best sector times) to be 2.02.936, so there is definitely room for improvement.
I can't wait to get back out there!

Yeah, the ridge is a helluva lotta fun. My advice next time though, use ALL of the track to let the car out of corners. The wider you make your turn, the less speed you scrub/faster you can accelerate. My .02.

Came in a little hot on that subies bumper though. Hehe, just wanted him to know I was there. (3:20)

How did you mount the go pro to the bumper? Just with the suction cup? Did you strap it down? Any wind deflector for noise? It was a super sweet shot
The sticky mounts? They came with the camera, and I put it right in front of the intercoooler hanging upside-down. Switched the recording orientation and let her rip. Ran out of batteries before I could get ahead of traffic and really get moving though. Have no idea what my lap times were...should look into a transponder next time I get out there.
