I ended up getting the Nikon D800. I love this thing so far! 36.3 megapixels of camera lovin But I feel like it will be to hard to get a group of people together by tomorrow. Maybe we should schedule something out for next weekend?

Beast mode! Is this your first SLR?

And yeah, the Mark III = King of the Hill. My buddy's got the Mark II and keeps trying to move me from Nikon to Canon. If I didn't already invest in lens' I would consider a move. Though it's all just mo' money.

 

Idk if I would call it king of the hill. For me the D800 fits my style much better. I love landscape and product style shots for stock photo sites so the 36megapixels is ideal and the dynamic range of the D800 at ISO 100-400 is absolutely amazing and out of reach of the 5dmkiii. There is a reason why DXO mark said it has the best sensor on the market but thats not to say that the canon isnt better in other aspects like video and I although I havent really read that much about high iso comparisons yetit seems like the 5Dmkiii wins there too. But anyways thats enough boring info on the two of them. Like you said its not really worth abandoning ship and selling all lenses and sinking more money into it all!

Oh and with that out of the way I assume you can guess that it isn't my first dslr haha
