Oregon Trail Rally 2013
May 3-5
Anyone going? I'm going to be chief scrutineer.

PIR is the best opportunity to watch rally in the whole country tickets are $10 each adult.
If you do plan to go to PIR I recommend to get there early (~5:00pm) as traffic gets extremely bad at about 6 and you'll end up watching the rally from I-5
oh yeah and wear a sombereo!

A group of friends and I go every year. In fact, we used to go to both The Olympus Rally here in washington, and the OTR until those ****s at Rally America permanently cancelled the Olympus Rally.
I know, I know - They are bound as a sanctioning body to maintain safety and blah blah blah...and Im sure it didnt help a couple years ago when all those kids got alcohol poisoning and then a different car full of them crashed into a fire truck responding to the accident of matt marker, who died while racing.
**** I hate stupid people. They are the reason we have so many laws, and the reason I'm out a whole rally.
-end rant

Yep. This year it looks like we'll be camping in the Hood River Fairgrounds near the service park. Not set in stone yet, but definitely camping SOMEWHERE.
Noone else is going?

i watched the opening stages at pir. i must be spoiled on wrc racing with awesome cars and multiple camera locations because i found watching at pir to be rather boring. i'm concluding that amateur rally is more of a driver sport than a spectator sport. duh i suppose.
btw, tons of subies in the parking lot, and i distinctly recall seeing a pair of white-rimmed sunglasses.

Ahhh. So that was you at Klaussen on Sunday Sweet. That ****ing field tore my front bumper off and bent my lower control arm brace. So now my exhaust goes RATTLE RATTLE RATTLE. fml.
Sad to say, this sport is dying BECAUSE it's a drivers' sport and there are so few spectator spots.
P.s. My pics/vids are up on fb if anyone wants to look. You can add me @ www.facebook.com/oface.grimmins
