Feeler: Everett WA Mitsubishi Meet
I think you either need to set it up or not plan on it. We can spread the word once it is officially set up, but a lot of members socialize by other means and only check other threads for technical details.
There is a member of the local Evo community that is posting her extreme dissatisfaction of service received from Harris.
I suggest figuring out that situation before making a big post, as I don't know if this will cause a lower turnout.

Definitely not right, there would be hell to pay if my car came back like that.
Thanks for the heads up. With all the businesses out there being shady and/or not owning up to their mistakes, we need to look out for one another. Hopefully this issue is resolved without any more heartache.

The vehicle in question was driven back to the selling dealer in Seattle after we initially received it from Seattle for our diagnosis of the timing chain concern. It was then brought back one week later from Seattle to be repaired at our location in Everett. From there my most senior technician drove the vehicle a few miles to verify proper operation of the newly installed timing chain. It is ridiculous to assume we would deliberately damage someone's vehicle, and potentially ruin our reputation for a joy ride, or out of spite. I can assure you we do not abuse our customer's cars at our dealer, and if I suspected foul play we would be authorizing a replacement clutch.
I urge everyone to make their own opinions of our dealership, and come see us in person. Inevitably we are going to have concerns like this arise, and if you have been on forums for any period of time you should know that there are two sides to every story.

I still plan on attending. As stated above, there are always two sides to a story. Personally, I’m not going to automatically take sides with someone just because they own the same car as me. If I personally know the person and their values/morals, that’s another story. Having been in customer service for many, many years, there are always going to be people/customers who will place false blame, sometimes knowingly. I have many friends and family who have worked at different dealerships, and I myself briefly worked at a dealership, so I have heard and experienced a lot of stories about how some vehicles are treated.
I once helped a dealership with driving cars over to a mall parking lot for one of the "big ole used cars sales" events, let's just say a lot of the drivers beat the **** out of those cars on the way there and back. Including a certain someone getting WS6 Trans-Am sideways on a freeway entrance ramp, you know who you are! I hear about salesman taking vehicles out for joy rides, and doing drugs in the process. There was also a fellow Evo owner a bit ago who took his Evo in for maintenance at a Mitsubishi dealership, and one of the tech's put a handful of rocks in their valve cover. He ended up driving it to English Racing for a tune, and they discovered this. After research from the dealer, they found a surveillance video of the tech putting the rocks in. So to say its "Ridiculous" to think a dealership would deliberately damage someone's vehicle, or beat up on customers rides, is a bit ridiculous in itself... Not saying that's how your dealership works, but I’m sure you have heard many horror stories and it’s not absurd for a customer to think there could be foul play.

I have many friends who work at dealerships. Every car they drive is driven hard and put away wet.
No matter what management thinks their salesmen and techs do, cars are driven hard.

- was too harsh and would like to do the ol' John Kerry flip flop
- that she is giving them another chance
- she's a woman (i.e. - she changed her mind)
- other?
I agree with Alex btw and for mgmt at a dealer/parts dept to think differently means they are naive. That said, I'm still not opposed to showing up for the meet.
This.
Ive worked and been around my fair share of dealerships. The cars aren't driven like grandmas. And that makes no sense taking the car back to bill pierre. I used to work there, they know nothing lol. And either way, that's a 16 miles trip one way. That doesn't add up to 66 miles. Just saying.
