I'm going to be buying new winter tires and I have narrowed my choices to either the Bridgestone Blizzak LM-60 or the Hankook Icept Evo.
If you use either of these tires on your EVO for winter driving what has been your experience? Do you like them in snow, slush? How are they in the rain? Do they tend to make your EVO push or tail happy in a corner? Are the quiet? What is the ride quality?
Thanks for your input.

No experience with either... or any winter tire actually ha ha but putting in my input. I'm purchasing Michelin Pilot Alpin PA4's. I took a lot of time researching many winter tires. Settled on these for a few reasons. What was most important to me was dry performance but could also handle our rain and a few trips in the mountains. I'm hoping for lots of snow this year
EDIT: They also have a 30-day satisfaction guarantee, 3 year flat changes, and a 30k mile 6 year warranty.

I've used the blizzaks and michellen x-ice 2's both are very comparable tires. Both are absolutely nothing short of incredible in the snow. On a terrible road covered in snow and ice its hard to get the car to slide even if you want to. I'd highly recommend either of those tires, and from what I've heard in terms of best snow tire its one of those, not the hankooks. Just my .02 cents you should be looking for the lower price of the x-ices or the blizzaks and not the Icepts.

I've had multiple different sets of blizzaks, always trying something else in between and always coming back to blizzak.
My favorite winter tire ever is Hakkapaletta RSi, but they've since been discontinued. They were boarder line a high performance tire with real winter capabilities. But since they are no longer offered I'm currently back to the Blizzak LM-60 and we've already had about a foot or more of snow total this season and they are fantastic.
Other tires I've used are the Xice, Dunlop Graspics and some garbarge studded tire this past year, all on various platforms to include an MS3 and a WRX.
Go with the blizzak, you won't be disappointed.

I have Michelin X-ice 2's and they are great. This will be my 3rd year on this set and it still has a lot of tread left. They were a little more than the blizzaks but have a warranty and ended up costing the same after a mfc rebate.
I have run the Blizzaks. The best for snow and ice. They are a little squishy feeling at first on dry roads. But you get use to it. I just ordered the Michelin pilot alpin pa3. Trying to find a good performance tire that also works good in the snow. I dont think they will work as well in the snow as the blizzaks.
The Hankook I*cept looks like an all season tire to me. That alone scares me from it. LM60s are a great choice as are PA3/PA4s. I've been using Wintersport M3/3D the last few winters to mostly good results. Any of them are better than "all season" tires, as long as you can lay off the throttle.
PMC tire (canadian tire seller a la Tire Rack) reviews winter tires... this pretty much jives with what I've experienced (except I've never seen the Vredesteins since they don't sell them in the US as far as I know):

Bizarre weighting...
The WRG3 might be a good tire to run Oct-May
