Looking for a competent shop or mechanic near Yakima WA to fix an 08' EVO. I'm a Subaru guy that is trying to help a poor guy that took his car to a retard of mechanic/shop that said his turbo was bad, tore the car apart and is now stumped. The guy has about $3000 to spend to fix it. I suggested English Racing, but they're trying to avoid towing the car over 3 hrs away.

Any shops or competent private mechanics want some side-work to help put this EVO back on the road?

P.S. I've been on Nasioc for 8 years, but just don't know much about fixing EVO's

 

English Racing is one of the best Evo shops around. A 3 hour tow is worth it. At least your friend will know it'll get fixed the right way.

 

Call ER and see how much they would charge to pick it up. I know they tow cars to and from their shop and if they happen to have another car coming or going to your area they will cut you a deal on the towing charges.

 

I have to agree. Taking it to English Racing will probably save him a lot of money in the long run. Try renting a pickup truck and trailer from Uhaul and transporting the car that way.

 

There is a guy names Ross Cyr who lives in Yakima and supposedly is a good mechanic. I can get you his number if you are interested. He's on the northwest evo's Facebook page.
