with which a/r would you choose a 7670 for 2.4 liter ? 0.92 or 1.05 ?

depend on the differences between the spool up and the power. I would like something similiar as the black but with ball bearing and maybe faster spool up. For the price the EFR is better than the FP.
Rather buy a special exhaust manifold with 2 external wastegate than convert an FP black to ball bearing. If you're willing to buy a special manifold and twin wastegates, then buy the 1.05 TS T4 EFR7670... The heavy breathing of the big 2.4L will need the larger housing so the turbo doesn't over rev off the compressor map. If I had a 2.4L I'd rock a TS 1.05 A/R T4 EFR8374. |
Here's my take on it.
The Borg Warner S200SX spooled to 30psi by 3800rpm on a stock 2.0L Evo! And that was with a 1.22 A/R TS T4 Housing! I'm willing to bet the EFR7670 in the 1.05A/R twin scroll T4 housing is going to spool to 30psi by 3800rpm on a 2.0L with cams and a sheet metal intake manifold! These two turbos have essentially the same exact size wheels. 57mm inducer/76mm exducer 70mm inducer/60mm exducer The EFR turbine wheel is Gamma Ti supposedly 50% lighter than it's Inconnel counterpart. S200SX is is journal bearing. EFR7670 is dual ball bearing. Can you tell I'm eager to get mine on my Long Rod 2.0L! |

Geoff told me I'm first on the list of the 9180 :D
I've been making a bunch of preparations for this bad boy and have pretty much maxed out the 4088R in the process  |
