I completely agree with you that turbo is too big for my car. I would be down to test a 7670 or 7064. I won't max it out but I will see how well these things spool.

Yeah, that's going to be the $1M ... err $5K question for me. And I need to know for a 2L, not 2.x. :D

Lots of reasons that these turbos are not tested and results published yet. Full Race noted that they were having to rework the downpipes, among other things...

what other things? as a customer waiting for one of these i want to make sure there are no actual turbo problems...

There have been rumours (well one proven case, reason for yet to be confirmed that I know of) of them having issues with bending shafts/wheels failing.

Given there aren't any really amazing results yet, lots of hype, and already horror stories mixed with the price my excitement levels for these things have dropped significantly to much nearer the "good old faithful Garrett - know what you're going to get" levels.

if this turbo range have that design flaw of bending shafts....its done for.
BW can know that the efr will never take off... I for one pray that it is not the case... one thing that I can see is that the shaft is quite thick comparing to others...

im not too worried about it, it was 1 turbo and crap happens. if a couple more pop up then im going to worry. some people just have bad luck. i personally blew 2 precision turbo's in less than 3,000 miles. if they offered to sponsor me for $2,500 a year and give me a free turbo i would tell them to suck my ass. if the efr ends up doing the same ill drive to bw headquarters and toss it thru their front window. if it makes good power, spools good, and proves reliable, ill try and sell them to everyone that needs a turbo.

any idea why it takes so long to make them? There must be a big delay on casting or something because it shouldn't take that long to assemble them.. Unless they testing each one on the test engine which is not the case lol

BWs primary business is the OEM market. Performance aftermarket is a very small segment for them, and only a small team works on the EFR line. Without allocating a large number of people, production is slow.

I had 2 6262 BB precision's fail on me too!!! look like that happens alot.

in addition, if you dont send out enough aftermarket product, you just have a few angry customers. if you dont send out enough oem turbo's and shut down production you get a hefty bill from the car maker for lost production.

I don't know where you got 3 or 4 months from but the new foundry is up to speed and in full production so unlikely to take anywhere near that long... please try to not spread misinformation
