Drove the car today. Have some work to do on the time since boost doesn't come in like the red did. I have 16psi springs in the single 45mm gate, and it did 18psi at 4100rpm in 3rd on wastegate line. 19.5 at 4500, and then 18.5-19 up to 5500. Stopped the pull there to check the log. Did get back to it today, but I'll be doing more on it tomorrow.

RPM on far left, boost in far right column of the screen cap. Also, this is on ethanol, so don't @ me if you know which column is timing.

finally got a flex fuel tune scheduled! should make life much easier as i'll be trailer-less for the forseeable future.

using this kit (https://www.evodynamics.com/products...-flex-fuel-kit) which comes with the pin already wired.

talked with the tuner, he's tuned another time attack car as well as various street driven evos on flex fuel, so i'm confident he'll get this right.

Went to the track again today to test the new SSB Designs uprights for the Evo 6.
That was the only major change apart from giving the car around 1º more camber.
4.3º Front, 3.0º Rear. Approx 36-37psi hot Front, 34-35psi hot rear.
245/40R17 Yokohama A052 tyre. 370whp and 1430kg (3146lb) race weight.

Overall - the car went at least 1.5seconds faster at my local circuit.
There is still some turn-in understeer, but i'm thinking that's caused by a few things.
1) Front Plate type LSD, needs less preload (or zero preload).
2) only 245mm width tyre
3) Shock/springs may need some adjustment, Dallas suggested heavier rear spring
4) Slow down more so the corner entry isn't so fast

I'm much more confident in the car, even with the A052 refusing to grip, it's predictable and linear.

Finally have some data on the TI-295 pump with the PWM pump controller. Took a screen shot of a 1st-2nd-3rd gear pull showing nearly constant injection pressure. No overrun in the spool up/low boost range and can max out the ID1000's with no drop in pressure, admittedly not the most stressing case but still an improvement over the 255lph pump.

Is your front diff 1way at least?

thats a good time on semi slicks and that power. dont go too heavy on spring rates there or youll get horrible bouncing on the exit of the last turn and it can spit you into the fence

Front diff is MFactory plate 1way, but I haven't checked or set the preload yet.

That's A052, not semi slicks.
Semi slicks should take another second off that.

Careful with that diff, I blew one up. Cracked at all the spring preload locations and stripped every inner tab on the clutches.

I have an MFactory plate diff in my Civic, it broke clutch tabs with just 280wtq :lol:

that happened to my Weir plates for the rear diff. total garbage.

No offense, but it always struck me as odd that people went with the weir plates for their rear diff option.

I'm still nervous about my ATS front diff exploding, but haven't had the chance to buy and swap in a Cusco 1-way. For sure on the list of things to do.

Made in America used to mean something :)

I'll check those when I pull it apart again to reduce the preload.
Evo 4-6 unit is smaller than Evo 7-9 too
