ok i have everything now :)

next step is to drill the tanks.

is it ok to drill across the seam? it wont weaken or cause splitting will it?

mt057 Dec 3, 2009 08:08 AM

No there should not be any problems. My tank has hole at the seems on both sides.

23mm is better, less stress to the gasket. Please ensure the inside edge of the hole is smooth.

On second thought, if you are using a hole saw, it might over cut, Uuse 22 mm and open it up with a reamer or file, it is safer.

^Also use lots of silicone, just helps prevent leaks from showing up down the road.

Richard L Dec 19, 2009 04:02 AM

Once a clean and burr-free hole is made, there should not be any need for silicone.

ok bit of an update :

1) I have everything
2) Dog ate the water level sensor, so I need to get a new one :( DOH
3) The bracket design is done and being fabricated, hopefully I will have it ASAP :)

Once the bracket is done I can mount everything in the boot and run lines to the engine. Should I run the Meth lines UNDER the car? or inside the car? Does it matter?
