FS Progress springs
Having upgraded to Tein SS dampers, I no longer need my Progress springs. The passenger's side springs are marked in case you want to put the springs from my driver's side on your passenger's side.
$90 plus ship
If you have an ES, I also have the upper perches from my OZ (you will need to reuse your upper mounts). You can convert your ES to an OZ suspension AND install high quality springs. I will provide copies of the instructions that came with the SS dampers so you can see what needs to be reused.
If you need stock shocks, I also have all 4 corners in good shape.

With progress springs, what are your options IF they kill your shock struts? Do they make performance/aftermarket struts for the ES Lancer? I'm hearing that there isn't. And if not, how much would new stock struts cost?

You'll have 2 options. 1) replace the struts with OEM components (which I kept when I chose....) Option 2) go with a coilover replacement set from Tein. I can't say enough nice things about my SS dampers. Tein basic coilovers will run close to $900 and the SS kit reatils for $1300. then there's the price of install if you don't do it yourself. That should run about $200 (but I don't know because I've done all my own installs).
also, if you have an ES, you'll need the upper perches (I still have those, too). I believe this to be true of the LS as well, although there aren't a lot of folks that have LS's and I think I've only seen 3 of them in my travels....

but wouldnt the oem replacements be basically the same as what's already on the car, meaning it'll just keep breaking again and again, and i'll juss keep having to replace them?
And are dampers and coilovers the same thing?

there's been a lot of talk about aftermarket shocks: Koni screwed them up, KYB doesn't make them anymore, Tokiko has been promising that "they're on the way" since August of 02, H&R fibbed and said they'd be making a kup kit and then didn't, and then there's Tein's coilover kits.
The upper perches hold the springs in place up top
Just like the lower part of the strut holds the bottom of the spring. The ES strut is supposed to have enough room to hold the OZ spring, but the upper perch is too small.... or that's what everybody says
any ES owners that's have done the swap paying attention? What about LS owners?
It's hard to search for this stuff because you can't use "OZ" or "ES" in the search strings.

You might need the perches. I'm still looking into whether I'll need them or not.
I've got the SS coilovers from tein but havent installed them. A bunch of people that have ES models with the SS teins told me I'd have to get the OZ upper perches to make it fit right.
I have yet to check this out myself, but the most common recomendation I hear for ES guys like us is that if you're going to upgrade your shocks/springs its a good idea to get the slightly bigger OZ perches.
