Install Instructions
Tools needed:
Ratchet
10mm socket
12mm socket
Flat head screw driver
Install Steps:
1-Disconnect positive and negative battery terminals with 10mm
2-Loosen (2) 10mm bolts for stock battery tie down and remove from car
3-Remove battery from car
4-Remove the wiring clips from battery tray located at the left rear of the tray used the flat head if needed to make it easier, and then remove the clamp on the back middle of the tray holding the tube. Finally pull to release the last 2 looms from the front right of the tray and the rear right of the tray.
5-Now with everything out of your way take the 12mm and loosen the 4 nuts and bolts from the tray, when removed you will have to angle the stock tray out it wont just come out easy.
6-(Refer to pictures 1-3) With everything out of the way get your new battery tray and tie down with the flat bottom edge as shown in the picture.
7-Place tray in place it might take a little push to get it on since there cut right to size, once on install the (2) 12mm nuts and tighten down a little but not all the way till the flat edge tie down bracket is installed like shown in the picture, then fully tighten.
8-After fully tightened down the tray will look like it’s pointed up a little bit. Reason being every car is different so i went with a little less angle then flat. To fix this push it down with little force to level it out.
9-Once this step is done get your battery and insert on to the tray with the negative post facing to the back of the car.
10-Install the positive and negative post and tighten down with the 10mm (do this before clamping the battery down other wise your ratchet will hit the top strap and ark when trying to tighten the positive)
11-Once tighten down take the second tie down with the curve and install it into the front hole of the battery tray.
12-Then install the top strap and install wing nuts. Tighten to desired tightness and you may use the rubber washer but i think it looks better without them.
Any questions please feel free to email or pm me im sure i missed somthing but since its my birthday today i dont have much time to do a perfect write up!
Thanks everyone for your interest
