I finally got around to installing the battery. Pretty straightforward really. The most interesting moment came when I was finally hooking the battery terminals up and the lights suddenly came on! I had left the switch on when I drove into the garage and they had automatically turned off. Kinda scary to see a bright white flash of light and a buzzing sound when you're playing with the electrical system of your car.
The only "issue" I have with the install is that the buschur air filter hits the corner of the tray. I considered cutting a little bit off the corner of the tray but decided against it since I will be replacing the stock intake tube and IC piping. I think the replacements will put the air filter a little higher and farther back. The only reason I chose not to was because I didn't want to do an obvious hack job that may be visible later when the air filter is relocated. You might consider a 45 degree cut off the last inch or so of the tray in future models. (Maybe on both sides to make it look even?) For now I stuck a bit of rubber between the two to prevent damage to the air filter.

Juyanith,
Thanks for the write up and heads up on the plate. I noticed he had rounded the corners on my original plate and not on the ones he just made up that i sent out. I think that may be the problem and will have this taken care of for this next batch. Once again thanks for the write up looks good!
