Exclamation Gotta Sell My EVO. :(

A lot can change in a year, and I can't afford my EVO anymore, so I'm forced to sell it. Here are the details:

2003 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII in beautiful Rally Red, like it should be. I've babied this car as best as I could for all of its 19,000 miles. I love to drive it, so that's how I put almost 20k miles on it in the year I've had it. I've never taken it to the track, against the wishes of my friends, and the car remains in its warranty-friendly stock state. I did upgrade the CD player, though. It also has both the original summer tires plus a set of Z-rated Sumitomo HTR+ tires to get it through the winter.

This car is incredible and I've loved every minute of time I've had with it, but now I've got to sell it. Please call me at (734) 657-3480 or email me at psiajax@hotmail.com for more information. If you call and I don't answer, please leave a message as I work during the day and I can't always answer my cellphone while I'm there. Price is set at $24,500, which is considerably less than Blue Book. I'm located in Columbia, Missouri.

Thanks for looking!

I don't hate the car itself. I hate the fact that I've been trying to sell it for nearly 3 months, advertising it everywhere I can think of, but to no avail. Blarg, I say.

I actually took it out the other day to keep the motor in shape (it's been garaged the entire time I've had it for sale) and I had forgotten what an awesome car it is. Oh well. Can't afford it anymore. Payments are keeping me in the poorhouse.

Try to sell the the to carmax then you don't have to worry, they usually give you good reasonable price's. Have you consider your selling price is a bit high, that's the reason why you still try to sell your car.

I think it was Diesel who was selling his 03 Evo with under 5000 miles for around $26k and it took him what, almost 6 months to find someone?

Hmm. Closest Carmax is in Kansas City. 120 miles away. Maybe I'll give them a call, though. Dealers around here are only going to give $21-22k for it, which is considerably less than what I owe on it. I'm only trying to get enough to pay it off. My price is actually less than what I owe. I think the problem is that this car is so specialized and the field of buyers is very small. I could probably go a bit less on the price, but it's already less than what I've seen them going for from a number of sellers.

Hooray for divorce and moving to a different state and getting paid less than half as much as you used to.
