Do you work nights or something? It seems like you're always up with us "oversea-ers".

I can vouch for having issues with the BR exhaust, the muffler would always slip off at the clamp and it was always properly tightened. I actually almost lost my muffler on the hiway one day doing a wot pull. The whole muffler pushed itself off of the pipe and if it werent for the hanger Id have really had a problem. I love the exhaust though it sounds great and its top quality, doesnt have that low pitched boring burbley sound that all the other exhausts have with the huge 5" tip.

Since they have my car now, I said PLEASE tack weld the muffler to either the clamp or weld the whole thing so the muffler cant wiggle off

Hmmm hope they fixed the design because Im replacing my TBE soon.

I got rear ended slightly before getting deployed and it bent my AMS one. So since i have to replace my rear bumper cover and exhaust I figured Id go with a JDM setup and get the BR exhaust with the small diameter muffler where the cat goes to be sneaky

the 2.4 is a built 4g64 that comes in galants eclipses and i think some ralliarts. the motor has a 6mm higher deck height. so you can rev higher and of course faster spool. Produce alittle more power and majority of shops will never charge you a core charge because the engines are easier to get. Now you do have to do special things to get them to mount to a evo head

Adjustible cam gears set to 3.75
Either weild water pump or get SBR waterpump adaptor kit
Longer timing belt or you can stretch the 4g63 timing belt over the idler pully
Bigger Headgasket 87mm bore. either power enterprises or AMS custom gasket.
everything else from the 4g63 is a direct swap over but the above requirements have to be met in order to use it in a evo.

you can get get a

LR2.4 (see mikey thread)
Std2.4 mine

According to ER the LR version will not make more power but higher revs are possible if you are in need of that

is that the infomation you are looking for

I know the weight of the old big style Magnaflow muffler defintiely didnt help. The new magnaflow is smaller and lighter, Im not sure if it fixed anything tho. Just hit it with a weld in 2 or 3 spots and problem solved.
