YO!!!!! man i've been mia due to work and other things. I can't believe the time came and your motor is installed and bay is looking crispp! That flat coating on the manifold came out nice man. ANy other engine/body/interior bling items you're going to add?
Regarding the exhaust issue, that was a concern for a few other folks also, but isn't there a way to make this preturbo inlet wg solution? What would be needed?

yea my car has been cranked and running for testing according to anthony and carlos so its alive and well. Should begin tuning i would think this week on pump. I also got a SpoolinUp CoP i did not want to take a chance at a misfire at high psi. thats not in the pics but should be on the car now. Also my GT spec chrome bar was not on etc. heres what i have coming in still

While you were gone i made many deals got sharkbite2000s milspec t/b since mine was junk. made a crazy deal to get a built transmission Bought some replica bride seats for my Z and the Cop. I think i am done buying parts now LOL. There is nothing else i could really get enginewise besides the TC. ill wait and hold off on that till next year. I want to buy a Cf VG and some rotas. Not to mention i have the repaint coming up.
does a 6765 have full spool by 3800 rpms or lower?? Of course not that is the issue that is major lag hence what this whole conversation was about your full spool is problay 5000rpm - 5500rpms or even later from what i have read about it. thats laggy as hell and a huge problem when you AUTO X or ROAD COURSING. if it was all about dragging then cool but its not whichs puts any turbo higher then 35r range a waste of funds in my opinion. I dont need a laggy 700+ whp monster. thats not a fun street car or track car(autox roadcoursing TTA)

you will know what iam talking about. Or u can youtube it. even it wont have full spool by 3800, them dual ball bearing will help spool to 5k rpm very fast. Yours fpblack are journal bearing not ball bearing. You should try spin your fpblack and try spin the ball bearing one with your hand or mouth

So true i fiqure i have to get a decoder ring to read it sometimes but i understand the lanuage barrier. Why the heck do i need to buy a 777 dollar part. thats crazy expensive. I understand what it does but i need to get into the car first and see how it reacts to what i want. Not to mention again another stupid dump. I dont want the extra smell nor the noise produced by it at all. No interest in that at this time. I just had a guy from New mexico get transferred to the base last week. LOL he happens to have a evo fully built with a dump tube. Its WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY to loud and I am going to help him fix a couple things up on his evo and help him modify his exterior. I dont want that. the meger whp it will produce is not worth it to me as i dont want my car smelling even worse dumping more gas in the bay its bad enough i have a test pipe but ill hold my 777 dollars till i get my car tuned by jms and see how it turns out. You can re route the open dump WG back into the Down pipe/exhaust.

Rockman, you won't be getting the open dump unless you're in WOT.
When not in WOT, you can't tell the car has an external gate or externally dumped gate. I rock the EPM o2 Dump, and under normal driving, there's not a peep from it. Only under full boost does it open up, and when it does, it sounds like teh sex.

From a cost perpective the FP Black is still king but from a performance perspective I would love to see hp/area under the curve plots for a Black and say a BB 6262 or similar turbo. I wonder if the numbers would be closer then you think.
I think lag is over rated. If you are running a bigger turbo but make more power then a smaller turbo at the same RPM then lag is irrelevant at that point. I would think the boost tapering off versus a 6262 or similar holding it until redline would be a concern as well.
Not for Rock since those are not his goals. I was all about the FP Black up until this weekend. I did some searching on this site and had a few PM's from reputable people/shops that have me thinking about going slightly bigger.
Its all in the parts combo right. The right turbo, manifold, cams, compression, tuner, etc can make a turbo's response see to defy logic. There have been more then a few threads that have proven this.
Anyways glad to see the car coming along. Can't wait to see the numbers. its going to suck when its over. Like waiting for the big EVENT and then after the climax.........what are we going to look forward to. LOL.

well at the end of the day this is "rock's thread", it's good to say tips/tricks and suggestions. But telling him to go 6262 or insinuating the blacks downsides and to go bigger isn't the right venue. People don't seem to mention the cost. Cost. one more time. COST. the most optimal kit for a larger setup is a twin scroll 3586 or 3582 etc. But that is double the black in price. DOUBLE. and for what? higher tq, higher hp, and better turbine housing. But rock wanted the black and itll do more than enough for his goals. Everybody doesnt want to go slooo sloooo then BAM!!! thats the 6262 and 3586. not everybody likes this style. Even Buschur said his favorite car is a 2.3 fp red. Why? Because it is. It's that simple.
