The guys finished up early today so they tackled mocking the doors up. I was excited to see how they fit...

Needless to say they are about as perfect as you could ask for!

+ 1 I would like to know this too and are they safe to install for street use without a cage? I've heard CF doors save ALOT of weight. By the way how do they feel to open and close, do they have that solid "thud"?

The new doors weight about 11 for the rear and 13 up front as a shell. I am going to transfer the parts off the old doors and then weight them to see the weight savings.

As far as street use goes, these doors are paper thin and wouldn't protect much. The fit is great and aligned very well just bolting them up. But I am sure they won't open and close like stock b/c of the weight difference and flimsiness. I will be sure to post once I get these painted and the internals swapped over.

Finally found some time to work on the car again...Added AMS FMIC and piping w/Tial BOV, AMS small battery kit, and JIC coilovers. Also deleted the A/C. Autopower cage is here just not yet installed.

I thought carbon doors would provide pretty good protection if Kevlar is also used Also how do they feel, I don't mean fit I mean how do they feel, do they still maintain that solid "thud" when closing?

This is a fast track to wasted $$. Get the car running and reliable, get a good alignment w/ the stock camber bolts, get the rear diff set up like the manual says it's supposed to be... and go from there.

Even if you ignore all this, I can't recommend enough that you do the differential BEFORE you do the suspension. It will make a big difference in how the car drives and will likely affect other choices you make in the suspension.
