2005 Evo autox/road race build

2005 Evo autox/road race build

Hey guys, heres a little info on the car from when I got it:

WARNING: Some of the pictures are blurry

2005
Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution
2.0L
65xxx miles

What the car had done to it when I got it: (Jan.2011)
-MR BBS wheels
-Injen LICP
-Megan Racing O2 Housing
-BR downpipe
-BR test pipe
-BR catback w magnaflow

The day after I got it and the last time it has seen snow, got the car from the south


The only problem I had before I started doing things to it, was the oil cooler was leaking the lines were not tight at all. Fixed


Then it was time to do some work to it:

Motor:
-BR air filter
-BR manual boost controller
-BR mini battery kit
-BR upper & lower intercooler piping
-BR Street Core FM
-Tial Q Re-circ BOV (50mm black)
-Ported/jet coated stock turbo
-BR Ported/jet coated o2 housing
-Ported/jet coated exhaust manifold
-Ported intake manifold
-Ported throttle body
-Percision 780injectors
-Walbro 255 fuel pump
-HKS 274/280 cams
-BR Stage 3 head
-BR downpipe
-BR test pipe
-BR catback w magnaflow

Suspension:
-GT Work Springs
-Whitline Front Center Roll kit
-Whiteline Front Adj End Links
-Whiteline Rear Adj End Links
-Whiteline Front sway Bar (26mm)
-Whiteline Rear Sway Bar (24mm)

Wheels & Tires:
-MR BBS (17x8)
-Falken Azenis RT615 P255/40R17

Interior:
-Autometer 30-0-30 boost gauge

-No backseats or anything in trunk

Best time was 12.8 at 107 I am not a drag racer at all


My first full year of autox, didnt do to bad. There are 15 to 20 cars in my class at each event. I didnt run the last to events in October because I started to pull my motor while it was still warm.

Went to buschur racing and got:
BR Oil catch can
BR Short Shifter
BR Base bushings
BR Shifter bushings
A/C Delete
Exedy Twin Disc HD
Left my fuel pump (sending me my double pumper)

I left BR and went to Shep:
Evo 8 street/strip for the transmission
Stage 1 for the transfer case

Left Shep and went to Red Robin, it was prob one of the best days of my life hahaha!


Today(2-28-2012)

Went to buschur racing and dropped off my oil pan to get baffled.

I love how the car looks on the Enkeis, completely changed the nature of it!

3-2-2012

Got a call from shep today, my transfer case looks good going to do stage 1. My transmission needs a new 1st and 2nd gear the teeth have some wear. So since I autox and road race I am going to do evo 9 1st and 2nd.

3-6-2012 to 3-8-2012

It has been a busy week, I got a few new parts in:
-Torque Solution motor mounts
-Torque Solution Driveshaft bushings
-STM Radiator Brackets
-JMF Coolant Overflow Container


-I had to put my rear swaybar and endlinks back on, the front swaybar links also.
-I put my muffler back on.
-I mounted my ebay front lip on (going to get beat up autoxing thats why I went ebay)
-I put on my powerslot rotors/Stoptech pads/Stoptech SS lines/Motul Fluid

GF got a new camera Canon Rebel T2i..so she took some pics:

That's a quality build right there! How did you like tracking with the VTA bov? I had my car tune on speed dens and during on and off throttle it just doesnt feel as good as stock maf. Additional to that was the 5th gear flutter on the freeway, that killed it and i swapped it back to stock asap.

Thanks man! I forgot to say its a recirc bov, but I havent had an issues.

Went to shep and picked up my transfer case and transmission..they look awesome!!


3-20

Called STM and I ordered an oil pressure oil temp and wide band gauges also got the gauge pod to replace
where the cd player went.
