Why did you use a GM alternator? Higher AMP?
**UPDATE**
I got her running yesterday, it started without any issues and I could not be happier! We only have a couple more things to check off the list before we make our first pass. I'm looking forward to bringing her out to the track soon, and will keep everyone updated
Enjoy

i gotta tell ya these pics don't do this car justice, to see the workmanship put into this car, there is no wonder he clicks off 8s, and to many to count
as busy as BPs shop has been, i'm sure its been hard to put the finishing touches on the RED DEMON ! but i'm sure it will be worth the wait, car looks amazing

Devin i know you prolly dont have much run time on the car yet but how are you liking the Kiggly crank trigger sensor? im really thinking about switching from my green top CAS to that one but i havnt found many people who are running it i could ask. please give me as much feed back as you can.
The voltage regulators are much better in the GM units and hold voltage all the way to redline without dropping off.

Update!!
The car is completely finished and ready to rock!!
After being on the dyno once so far, we made a couple of changes and came up with 936 AWHP! Last year the car made 860 AWHP and trapped 170 mph, so we should definitely have some fun with 936 AWHP.
We brought the car out to the track this past Friday night with Joey and his "Junk Box" Evo 9. Joey ended up running an 8.98 @ 167 mph! His goal has been an 8 second pass, and to help him accomplish it was thrilling to say the least. Everything went great with my car. It came out like an animal and cut a 1.3 60ft without breaking a sweat, until the clutch started slipping in 2nd and 3rd. The Demon still went 6.1 in the 1/8 but only @ 89 mph. I’m going to look into the clutch issue this week and have the car back out next weekend.

- Some other details I’ve taken care of include installing the Frontline Fabrication diff cover. The machining on this cover is second to none; super nice quality. The cover allows for preloading the differential bearing caps to eliminate ring gear deflection.
- I also fabricated some stops for the shifter. I was bending cables, breaking shifters, and bending the shifter arm on the trans last year, and needed to come up with a solution. This way the shifter bottoms out long before the cables get damaged.

After having some problems with the clutch the 1st time out this year, I decided to not launch the car for the first pass and just take it though the gears, it got a little sideways in 2nd. The Demon trapped 167mph, the clutch was flawless, and after that I was really excited to make a full pass.
The next pass was my first full pass in 2012. The Demon spun the tires hard in 1st, and I hit the rev limiter between 2nd and 3rd. The car ran 8.48 @ 171.3 MPH.
More to come, stay tuned!!
Enjoy

WOW the car is flying Devin!
Congrats on the run and I'm sure the car has more in it but not bad for the first full pass of 2012 LOL.
Do you know the current weight of the car as it sits now compared to last year?
Thanks

The car weights in @ 2350
Had a great time at the MAP proving grounds. We had great weather and I meet a lot of new people
Still working on getting the boost by vehicle speed dialed in though 1st and 2nd gear. I'm spinning hard though 2nd and I know its killing my E.T. @ the 330.
