I currently own the 2009 Mitsubishi lancer GTS that should be attached below and I am looking to upgrade horsepower. I need more speed. I am looking for affordable ways to increase this. I have a 2.4L engine with auto CVT transmission. ANY SUGGESTIONS OR HELP? its greatly appreciated. Looking to increase horse power by alot.

I've considered that but I don't have enough money, do you think that is my only realistic option?

If you're wanting strictly more power, the cost of the GTS + power and reliability mods will cost you more than an '03 in good condition.

If you're wanting the ability for a little more spirited driving, ie mountians of canyons, then suspension work would be the way to go.

If you don't care about the money to go fast, go nuts on the GTS.

You say increase the power by a lot...i would assume that's the only way. If you state your goals more clearly, you could receive better help. I despise front wheel drive, so yes i say that is your only option. The trade off of even just the awd, turbo set up; you would experience the speed and grip that you missed driving the FWD Lancer.
Now, that being said, if you beat the **** out of it everyday, put cheapo mods on, and generally mistreat it, the evo will not please you for very long. If that will be the case, stick with your Lancer, and throw a turbo kit on it.

Just wondering, where did you get that evo style bumper?

If it is from an evo, does it fit the rest of a lancer body without you having to widen the rest of the body?

Thank you, your suggestions greatly help. I buy salvage cars and fix them and this lancet is one. I guess I'm going to keep searching for a cheap rebuildable evo. This is an evo X bumper which is installed, everything snaps in place it just bellows out a little between the headlight and fender but is only noticeable when you are close up to it

just make sure not to get a molested evo. especially a salvaged one, because the salvage only reflects how it was driven.

well for his goal, it's the way I see fit. This is completely different than hondas. This has more depth than that. This is AWD vs FWD, Factory Turbo vs N/A, etc. Rather than FWD vs FWD, N/A vs N/A, stuff like that
