I'm gonna head up to Lowes/Home Depot tomorrow and see what I can find. I ordered some 4" t-bolt clamps from Grainger tonight, they come in packs of 5 only so if anyone wants one let me know, I only need 1.

Could always modify a panel filter to protect the turbo. Any of the cleanable ones would suit

Very sick build, love the last pic in the first post with the bike on the roof. I wish I had the ***** to do that with mine, if I didn't have Grey I prolly would but the paint scratches so easily Im too scared to mount a rack or take the evo where I go ride lol.

I put vinyl under the feet of the rack so it doesn't scratch the paint. I took it off a month or so ago when I wheel'd the paint out, there were some outlines on the paint from dirt/grime but it came right off.

After debating over and over to run a screen or a filter, I just can't get over the possibility of the screen getting sucked into the turbo. I did some research on K&N's website and found a filter with a 4" inlet and a 3.5" height. This filter looks like it will be a good solution for those with FF turbo's. The Autozone filter was slightly smaller, but again, not going to risk pieces of it breaking off and getting sucked into the turbo.

Found it on Summit Racing for 31.95. Should be here in the next day or two, I'll take pictures when I get it installed.

Exactly, I kept thinking well...even if a rock hits it with enough force it'll probably go through, that won't happen with a filter

Got the filter on today, fits perfectly. All vac lines are routed and tied up, everything is ready to go just waiting to hear from the tuner to get a base fuel map. I hope he gets it to me soon as I'm gonna be in NJ for work for like 3-4 weeks soon and won't be anywhere near the car.

I'm sure it will be, haven't driven it yet with the new setup as I don't have a fuel map for SD and pump gas yet.

Heres a quick idle vid, open downpipe temporarily. Sorry or the quality, I haven't quite figured out how to use the video mode on my new camera.

Damn! She sounds beastly. Very nice! I'm sure you're super anxious to get it out on the road.

BTW, I saw this at a car show last weekend and thought of you. Although the filter is a WAAAYYY better option.
