Finally got a little more time to work on my pile. Fired it up and started the break in today. Hope to test it before the Shootout in a week or so.

Not much cool fab work, Other than the new engine its basically the same as last year.

Feels good to hear it run again. She revs fast for sure!

Badass ! I am sad I missed your call if you were calling to let me hear this beast! I am hoping my Crower rods stand up to my 6262 better than your did to the 6765!

Was that a Howard rod you bent? You know the engine is supposed to fire at TDC right?

If you look at what the bearing did to the big end of the rod, it doesn't matter what rod you run now it won't save the bearing under the same circumstances.

If you would use your eyes and brain before you spoke you would realize there is no bearing in that rod and since the bearing is perfect as was the crank there was no reason to make these negative comments.

There was nothing wrong with the tune in this car and nothing wrong with the big end of this rod. I know how to build and tune these cars. It was bent simply by to much power/cylinder pressure.

The rods where crower btw not howards.

Went to the track today, I'm having some clutch issues and will drop the trans out tonight or tomorrow to see whats up, but anyway the first pass it bogged out of the hole and I ran it out to get a good log and it went 10.8@ 147

The next pass I got it to launch "ok" but it was only a 1.8 60 and it went a 9.78@149.5

Our local track is pretty strict on the rules, they warned me after the first pass and booted me after the second.

Once I get my clutch figured out and can get back into the 1.4x 60' range it should fly!

Boost was right over 40psi and this car is still ~3200 with me in it. Still has heat, power steering etc etc.

I got a few vids I will post up in a bit, but here is a few pics for now

Wherever it stops making power. The tune is a little soft and I was def driving easy/shifting easy.

If this thing goes 155~ I will be real real happy. The car (and driver ) is just to damn heavy!
